Born Free

I was so excited for this week because I thought it was going to be a relaxing one. Diego only had to work two days this past week, Tuesday and Wednesday since Monday was a holiday for the Malvina Islands History and Thursday and Friday for Easter. However, an unexpected storm hit us on Wednesday night. I was in the gym when all of the sudden the lights start flickering. I left the gym and as soon as I am leaving, it starts pouring so hard. I have never seen rain so strong in my life. The scary part was that the wind and the rain were so strong that driving was not something you wanted to be doing, but where were Diego and Benji? On there way to pick me up. They had been in a restaurant nearby and I called them to come get me. I would rather stay in the gym the rest of my life than to put my men in danger. I just wanted to get home and be in a safe place. Although there was no electricity in all of the city or any cities next to us. So, we ended up staying at my In-laws for two nights until we finally got electricity on Friday night. Luckily, no trees at our home fell down or anything too difficult to pick up, just a plastic box that flew in our back yard and a crap load of leafs. I am so SO so glad that the storm is over and everyone is safe and has electricity again. It really sucked and I can only imagine what the people in Texas are going through.
Well Easter was good. I went to church but I was the only one. Have we forgotten the meaning of Easter?? We celebrate this Sunday for a reason. Not to eat and be with friends and family and have some time off work, but to thank Our Heavenly Father for sending his Son as a sacrifice so that we can be Born Free. That Jesus Christ rose from the dead. He died on the cross so that no matter what we do, sin after sin, we can still be set free. How great is that? All our mistakes, he paid for. Its something we can never pay back, no matter how hard we try. We can only try to be the best Christians that we can be, but its still not enough. Benjamin was such a happy baby on Easter. He kept smiling for the camera and I couldn't help but think that deep down inside, he is Christ's baby. He is a Son of God as well and his happiness on this day just proved to me that he will be more blessed than I am, and that's a lot blessings!! Happy Easter!!
Well, I couldnt decide what happy smiling picture of Benji's to post, so I posted a few that look the same. Enjoy!!
