The Picciones: Growing Spurt

So, where do I begin?

This last month Benji has had a huge growing spurt. Diego and I in February had a bet going on when Benji would walk. We failed miserably. We both thought he would be walking by now. He has been guiding himself along tables, chairs, and his playpen for more than a month now but still not walking. Although hes right there! I finally charged my camera because I know that at any minute he is going to take his first steps. He already stands up alone. He will be in the middle of the room in a squat position and all of the sudden just stand up. He can stand alone for about 10-15 seconds before he plops back on his butt. He has both teeth on the bottom way out in the open and his two top teeth are coming in as we speak, or as I write I guess I should say. He can point at things, and identify things if you ask them where they are. We say "Luz" (light in spanish) and he looks up at the lights in the house. He can wave bye but you have to say "chau." I thought he would definitely speak english first but it looks like his spanish is coming along much quicker. He throws a fit when you tell him "no" and he is already getting in trouble for those temper tantrums. But he is so cute I cant help but sometimes let him get his way, until one day he broke my phone and getting his way stopped immediately! And one last thing, his hair is growing a lot! He is so stinkin' cute I can't stand it. But of course I would say that, Im his mom.

My in-laws are in Florida right now and have been there for the past two weeks. They come home Wednesday and I cant wait to see how they loved and adored The US, my beautiful country. Sometimes I forget the little differences between Argentina and the United States. I cant wait to hear their reactions and stories about how big the cars were and how much food they serve you. Oh that reminds me... I cant wait to eat an everything Bagel, peanut butter cookies, drink a really good cocktail, and see my friends and family. Oh, I forgot to mention that my dates are official. I will be home the 4th through the 18th of August. Although an entire week of that will be in San Diego. I am so excited because I get to see my best friend Mayra and enjoy my favorite place on earth!

Well, Happy Mothers Day to all Moms.
Especially The one who raised me. I couldn't have asked for a better mom. I really was blessed with the best woman I have ever met. I can make a list of all the things I think she did right, but the biggest thing is that she raised me to be a Christian. No matter what problem or obstacle I have in life she taught me how to get through it by teaching me that God is the answer. He can get you through anything and everything. I couldn't have asked her for anything more. Thank you mom for everything you do and continue to do for me. I love you so much!
