Happy Sunday!
Do You like the change? I felt like the blog was missing something. I started playing around with backgrounds and pictures and this is what came out of it. I really like it. It was definitely time for an update. But anyway...
I have been busy planning Benji's first birthday party. Buying the decorations, party favors, food, and practicing making his own little special cake that he can destroy. It blows my mind that he is already turning one in 13 days! What blows my mind even more is that, as active as my little tyrant is, he still isn't walking. Diego and I had to make a whole new bet on when he would walk because we weren't even close with our first two guesses. He can get off the bed by himself, as you will see in the video below but still no walking. I think he is doing it on purpose, just to make me mad. Everyone keeps saying that when he walks he will be into everything and I will not be at ease as I think I will be. However, we have tile floor and if that kid falls one more time I am going to have a heart attack. He falls all the time and luckily he is a tough guy so he hardly ever cries, but still, I am one fall away from going crazy.
Diego isn't helping with my heart attack issue either. Yesterday they had the yearly playoffs for the soccer teams in Argentina. Diego invited some boys to the house which I didn't think anything of. But 5 boys turned into 16! Its one thing to be in the states watching American Football and have that many people, but its a whole other thing to have 16 Argentine boys chanting and jumping up and down. American boys in general, are just so much more responsible. Probably because at 24 they all have their own place and know that if something breaks they have to pay for it. These boys are still use to living with their mommies. Cultural differences. But I swear, I felt like I was 16 again. The boys were pulling out chairs from underneath each other so that the other would fall, they were breaking things, yelling, and pushing each other. Let me remind you just in case you forgot. I have a 11 month old baby who takes naps. I don't have time to clean up after 16 dirty boys. Fortunately, I have a neat freak as a husband. He was actually cleaning up behind the boys as they made their mess, literally. When is comes to cleaning I couldn't ask for a better husband. But the boys were at my house from 11 to 9pm. Please try to picture what your bathroom would look like after 16 boys drinking beer for 10 hours. Not a pretty picture. For right now I need a break from guests at my house.
I didn't take any pictures this week, not one. But I do have a video of him getting off the bed. My big little boy.
Enjoy!!
