Closer to Glory

It is amazing watching Benjamin grow and sharing all the little steps with other moms. Sara and I write back and forth sometimes and let each other know what our babies are up to. Its nice to know that our little ones are right on track. It keeps me sane. Benjamin is finally sleeping a whole lot better. The food I think is helping a lot, and Sara told me that she finds that the more that Stella sleeps during the day, the more she sleeps at night. I thought the opposite so I was letting Benjamin stay up during the day and cry a little while I got some cleaning and cooking done. However, sleep at night is more important to Diego and I, so this week I let him sleep a lot during the day and hardly did any cleaning. He actually has been sleeping 5 to 6 hours now at night. Now thats what Im talking about... Closer to Glory!!
Benjamin had one last unexpected vaccine he had to get this week, small pox. One that we dont have to get in the states. They said that in about 45 to 70 days he will get a bump of puss where they put the shot. What the heck?? Is this shot necssary?, I asked Diego. Diego got it and now has a huge scar on his arm and now that I think about it, my mom has that same scar. I will have to remember to ask her if its the same vaccine. I guess better to prevent sickness than to try and heal it later. I also had an unexpected visit to the dentist this week. I thought I had really bad cavities that I wasnt taking care of, that maybe would end up in root canals. Wrong! I have been grinding my teeth at night. The dentist suggested that I am maybe stressed out, but from what? Being lazy and watching TV and my baby play all day? Now I have to sleep with a mouth piece in at night. Crappy!
Good news this week though, my mom wants us to stay longer in January!! She loves us :) The plan is the 6th to the 21st or so. I cant wait!! I cant believe my little brother is getting married or that Benji will be 6 months old, craziness! So since I have to fit in a dress by January, I started my diet plan this past weekend. I made Diego take ¨before¨ pictures, but I shall not post them until I know that I no longer look like that. haha. The last picture is of Benjamin in his stroller on our morning run. Its a little cold out so he has to be bundled up. He loves our runs. He sleeps every time and Mommy loses the pounds! Well I think thats all for now, until next week =)
