Not Your Average Family

This past week has been fun, but pretty much lethal to my diet. We had Diego's mom's birthday on Thursday, and both Mother's day and Diego's Birthday on Sunday, which we ended up celebrating on Saturday. I was doing really good on my diet until this weekend. I let loose a little, and I am very happy I did. I have decided that I can have whatever I want, whenever I want. I am not on a diet, I am simply trying to eat healthy. The difference between being good for a little while, and making it a lifestyle. Cake, brownies, ice cream, and deep fried things are not part of my everyday diet, but they are completely necessary every now and then.
Anyway, Benjamin is getting big and my mom asked for comparison photos. I don't have any this week, I apologize, but next week I ill show you old photos and compare them with new photos, so that you can see how big he is really getting. We have our month checkup this upcoming Friday, so I will post his new weight and photos.
So I was watching Bill and Guliana the other day, I just love them. I think they have a really good relationship. They are funny and seem to always work out their problems through good talked out compromise. Maybe because they are being filmed, but they always seem to get along, even if they don't always seem to agree. Well the point of telling you all this was that the other day on the episode, and almost every episode, they talk about where they are going to live, whether it be suburbs or city, Chicago or LA, it seems to always be one of their topics. Bill hates LA and refuses to make it his home. Guliana decides to show him how great LA can be by taking him to do all kinds of different things he loves. She took him hiking, but at the top of the mountain he says, "look at that traffic and all that smog." He always seems to find something negative. He doesn't put any effort into enjoying where he is. He is set on not liking LA, not matter what the case. Kind of like me. I have my mind set that I hate living in Argentina. But I feel that I have good excuses. My family and Friends aren't here. I sit at home and do nothing all day long. If I was at home, I could drop Benji off at my mom's house while I go workout or even just to get out of the house. The good thing is about being here, is that Diego takes care of us. I don't have to work, and I can stay home with Benji and enjoy this time in his life. Something I might not be able to do with my other children in the future. I appreciate it, but I am bitter like Bill. I just refuse to make this place my home. So after watching that episode I decided to make the best of it, while I can and stop living in bitterness. We only plan to be here for a few years while Diego learns English and we can save some money. I am going to join the gym, and hopefully start working, but mostly... I am going to try to make some friends. I'll let you know how this changing goes little by little, but it is of course easier said than done. We just aren't your average Family, and I am accepting that.
So that's all for this week. Enjoy the few photos I have this week. and sorry about posting the videos late last week, if you didn't look after Wednesday there is the video link from Youtube of Benji laughing. I will post the rolling one still as soon as I get a chance.
